18th of December: The Stairs
Our stairs are finally ready, just on time for Christmas! It took a lot of hours to get them done, and many times I was losing my hope with them, but finally they are ready, and the awful yellow is gone. The stairs would have looked amazing without the stair carpet but with Viiru running them up and down with very little control, it's safer to have the carpet on them.

17th of December: Table Decoration Ideas
I started my new job yesterday, and I'm exhausted! That's why today's post is coming so late. My new job is in Germany, 70 km away from home. I've studied German many many years when I was younger, but haven't used it for years, and now I need to listen to it all day, and try to speak it when ever possible.
Christmas is already next week, and it's time to start planning the table decoration for the big meal. Here are some inspiration photos for the Christmas tables!

16th of December: Christmas Market
On Saturday we tried to visit the Christmas market in Düsseldorf, but after we had driven a few times around the city, had driven a few times around in a parking house and driven past many parking houses, which had signs saying they are full, we decided to give up and just drive home. We had had a long day behind us already, so driving home ended up being the right decision. I felt a bit disappointed that I didn't get to see a real German Christmas market, but I'm keeping my hopes up, that maybe I'll see one next weekend.
When we arrived in 's-Heerenberg, we noticed that there was an awful lot of traffic for a Saturday evening. Immediately I was thinking that maybe there's a Christmas market also in our small town, and yes there was!! I was so happy! It was maybe just a little bit smaller than the one in Düsseldorf would have been, but the atmosphere was amazing!

Like I promised yesterday, today's post will be about Jenni and her jewellery collection N&D. I love Jenni's jewellery, her pieces are so unique and cool! The patterns and colours are awesome. I hope you all like them as much as I do!
Jenni makes her pieces mainly from recycled cardboard and leather, but uses also other recycled materials, when she gets her hands on them. The hooks and chains are new (safety first) and nickel free. The designs are all her own, and all the pieces are handmade by Jenni. At the moment the collection consists mainly of earrings and necklaces, but Jenni is planning to make also other accessories in the future.
Inspiration Jenni gets from all over, and she let's the ideas just pop into her head, without forcing the ideas or going idea hunting. The things that inspire her most are mysticism, nature, opposites and contrasts, tribes, Twin Peaks and Iceland. This winter's collection is darker and has taken influences from space. N&D jewellery can be bought in Helsinki in the following stores Paloni, Limbo and Työhuone44.

Jenni käyttää koruissaan kierrätettyä pahvia ja nahkaa, sekä tilaisuuden tullen muitakin kierrätysmateriaaleja. Korujen ketjut ja koukut ovat uusia ja nikkelivapaita.
